Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-08-25.
These terms apply when you use autolockoutservice.com or arrange an auto lockout with Auto Lockout Service.
What we do
We open locked vehicles. That is the whole of the service: passenger cars, SUVs, pickups, cargo vans, box trucks and commercial fleet vehicles, across the five New York City boroughs and Nassau County.
We do not open residential, apartment or commercial buildings. We do not cut keys, program key fobs, repair or replace ignitions, or extract keys broken inside a lock. We do not tow. If your situation is one of these, we will tell you on the call.
Proof of ownership
Before any vehicle is opened, you must confirm that you own it or are authorised to drive it, and produce identification on request. This is not optional. If you cannot or will not provide it, the technician will not open the vehicle, and that decision is final.
Pricing and payment
A standard car lockout is a flat $125. Full-size SUVs, pickups, cargo vans, box trucks and commercial vehicles are quoted individually during the call, before a technician is sent.
The quote you are given on the phone is based on the information you provide. If the vehicle turns out to be materially different from what was described — a different class of vehicle, or a different job entirely — the price may need to be re-quoted, and you will be told before any work begins rather than after.
Payment is due on completion, by card or contactless. Prices shown on this site may change; the price that applies to you is the one quoted on your call.
Timing
We do not promise a specific arrival time. Travel across New York City and Long Island depends on traffic, weather, distance and how many jobs are already running. We will tell you honestly what to expect when you call, and we would rather give you a realistic answer than an appealing one.
Vehicle condition
Our technicians use non-destructive entry tools and work to open vehicles without damage. Some vehicles have anti-theft designs, pre-existing damage, corrosion, prior poor repairs or aftermarket modifications that make non-destructive entry impractical. Where that is the case, the technician will stop and explain the position rather than force the vehicle.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for wear discovered during the job, or for damage resulting from earlier attempts to open the vehicle by anyone else.
Emergencies involving people or animals
If a person or an animal is locked inside a vehicle, call 911 immediately. This is an emergency. Emergency services respond faster than any locksmith and are equipped to treat it as one. Do not wait for us in that situation.
Use of this website
The content on this site is provided for general information. The descriptions of how vehicle entry works are explanatory, not instructions to attempt it yourself — doing so risks injury and expensive damage. Nothing on this site is legal or safety advice.
